In Spanish, regular verbs in the imperfect tense (verbos regulares en el pretérito imperfecto) are conjugated by dropping the infinitive endings -ar / -er / -ir and by adding the appropriate endings for each as in the table below.
Regular Verbs Imperfect Tense Conjugations
Pensar (-ar) | Comer (-er) | Sentir (-ir) |
---|---|---|
Yo pensaba | Yo comía | Yo sentía |
Tú pensabas | Tú comías | Tú sentías |
Él / Ella pensaba | Él / Ella comía | Él / Ella sentía |
Nosotros / Nosotras pensába-mos | Nosotros / Nosotras comía-mos | Nosotros / Nosotras sentía-mos |
Vosotros / Vosotras pensabais | Vosotros / Vosotras comíais | Vosotros / Vosotras sentíais |
